ORIGINAL STORY

Yesterday news broke that 100.3 The Sound would be going off the air within a few weeks. The classic rock station will be turned into a satellite delivery service for Educational Media Foundation (EMF). EMF plans on playing syndicated contemporary Christian music once The Sound leaves the airwaves. EMF CEO Mike Novak released the following statement: “We are particularly excited to see what God has in store for the people of Los Angeles, through our new station, Positive & Encouraging K-LOVE at 100.3 FM. The people at Entercom have been a joy making this purchase possible.”

I’m quite disappointed at the news since I love listening to this station. I can’t find that many stations that play The Beatles. Rolling Stones, Bob Dylan, or Bruce Springsteen. I’ll definitely miss this station but will keep on listening to it until it airs it’s final show. As of today there is no set day of when the transition will occur.

Are you a fan of the station? Are you sad to see it go away?
